Last updated: October 27, 2026
Cateround ("Cateround," "we," "us," "our") provides lead-response, follow-up, review and website services to event businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through cateround.com (the "Site") and our services (the "Services"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form, request a demo, sign up or contact us, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, city and any details you choose to share.
Business content. To set up the Services, our clients send us content such as menus, prices, photos, logos and message wording.
Payment information. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store full card or bank account numbers.
Automatic information. Like most websites, our Site may collect basic technical information such as browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of a visit, through cookies or similar technologies needed for the Site to work and to understand how it is used.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- respond to inquiries and tell you whether our Services are a fit;
- send the demo or information you request;
- set up, operate, monitor, support and bill for the Services;
- send service messages about your account;
- send marketing emails about Cateround, where permitted by law, with an unsubscribe link in every message;
- protect the security and integrity of the Site and Services; and
- comply with legal obligations.
3. Text messages (SMS)
If you provide your mobile number and opt in, we may send you text messages related to your inquiry or account. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
4. Our clients' data (data we process on their behalf)
When a business uses our Services, it collects information from its own customers and prospects (for example, inquiry details, contact information and reviews). For that information:
- the business is responsible for its collection and use and for obtaining any required consent;
- we act only as a service provider and process it solely to provide the Services to that business;
- we do not sell it or use it for our own marketing; and
- when the business cancels, we provide its data to the business and delete our copy within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Questions about a specific business's use of your information should be sent to that business.
5. How we share information
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share information only:
- with service providers that help us run the Site and Services (such as website hosting, email delivery, text messaging, data storage, scheduling and payment processing), who may use it only to perform services for us;
- when required by law, subpoena or legal process, or to protect our rights, users or the public; and
- in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
6. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a security breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to provide the Services, or to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Client data is deleted within 30 days after cancellation, as described above.
